2020 Census - The Last Lap

August 11, 2020 was the beginning of Nonresponse Followup (NRFU) operations nationwide, as Census field workers began going door to door - to ensure that those neighbors that have yet to respond… are counted.

And, with yesterday marking the beginning of the last lap of all efforts to count each member of every community… this weekend - at her annual back to school event - Illinois Senate Majority Leader, Kimberly Lightford, shared a brief message on why it is so vitally important to be sure to be counted.

To maximize the impact of the message, hers was followed by another Counting on Chicago Coalition partner, our CEO Debra Vines, who directed her message, specifically to the special needs community.
