This Year's Gala - a message from our CEO
With less than two weeks to go before our upcoming Gala, our founder and CEO, Debra Vines wanted to deliver a special message… where she reminds us that On Sunday October 26th, we will be hosting our 12th annual autism and special needs gala, appropriately themed phoenix rising for Autism.
In the video above, Debra exclaims that we are so grateful that we have made it through the toughest season of our 14 year existence and that we are finally rising from the ashes, pressing the reset button, and recommitting to our charge to be the #1 autism awareness & support agency in the Chicagoland area.
She goes further to say that there were no community building organizations that were not impacted by the pandemic, and there were quite a few that did not make it through… so we know all too well that that would not have been possible without the support of thoughtful committed citizens like yourselves.
However, while we are ever grateful for surviving the pandemic, we still need your help now, more than ever.
We generally have 3 fundraisers each year, but last year, we were unable to have our annual gala, and had to miss out on the opportunity to bring everyone together and raise some much needed funds. Therefore, we need this year’s gala, to be our biggest and best gala yet.
That is why we have put together a wonderful event that includes:
And while all of that will surely make for a one-of-a-kind dining experience with dancing, raffles, and silent auction prizes.
Debra reminds us that there is no better reason to make sure that you are in the house… than the special appearance from our MUSIC n ME students.
