Leading From The Front: Tips for bringing home fundraising gold
As a part of her commitment to leading from the front… Our CEO, Debra Vines has set her team - Autism Advocate On The Move - as the model team for all of our fundraising efforts. Throughout the coming weeks, she will be sharing tips on actions that you can take to ensure your success - and to ultimately… put you in the best position to take home one or both: The “Biggest Team” Trophy or The “Most Funds Raised” Trophy.
WEEK THREE TIPS
THIS WEEK, after having set up your team… Debra wants you to pay particular attention to STEP 2 from WEEK ONE - i.e. your message to your family & friends. She adds that whether via email, text, or social media… your message should be a clear and exciting invitation that includes your goal, what the funds are for, and a clearly stated incentive.
Furthermore, she recommends that you offer a FREE T-SHIRT to anyone who makes a donation of $50 or more… and as an added bonus - THE ANSWER INC will provide the T-SHIRT, from our official store, AT NO COST TO YOU.
NOTE: for those of you who planning to create your own TEAM T-SHIRT, you will be eligible to receive $10 dollars for every donation of $50 or more.
WEEK TWO TIPS
This week, she delves deeper into STEP 1 - from WEEK ONE - PLEASE FOLLOW THE STARS IN THE GRAPHICS BELOW
From there you will be up and running… and ready to move on to STEP 2, sharing your passion with your family & friends, via email, text, and social media.
In the weeks to come, we will sharing much more about reaching out to family & friends - what to say - and how to say it, etc…
WEEK ONE TIPS
This Week’s Tips are more of an overall mindset to have, as you begin your efforts. Debra says that once you create your team… you should share your team with your connected community in every way that is possible (email, social, text, and carrier pigeons) and that you should not think it a bother that you are reaching out to a person more than once - as that is the whole point and the very reason why the big brands run ads all day long, on every channel, every station, and in every newspaper and magazine. Most importantly, it lets your family friends know that you are passionate about the cause that you ere raising funds for, and that they should join you. Moreover, Debra says that, without exception, every time someone contributes to your effort, you should and must send a heartfelt “THANK YOU MESSAGE.
